Leo Full Moon

Happy Leo Full Moon Sunday!

Today, with the Leo Moon opposing the Sun in Aquarius at 16°41’, the strongest aspect in this month’s Full Moon chart is their square to Uranus in Taurus. This can bring about sudden changes…a desire to break free of old and outdated modes of being.

With the Leo Full Moon square Uranus, this is the perfect time to release everything that is not love. What do you love? What are your heart’s desires?

This world is such a beautiful place to be when we are in the flow of our lives. Today, I invite you to be in a state of creative inquiry with your life.

Are you living the life of your dreams? What are your dreams? Have they changed since your earliest dreams of your childhood? Some may have changed, evolved, or stayed the same.

I remember visiting with my grandmother, who lived with us. I was lying on her bed, and she asked me, “Elizabeth, if you had Aladdin’s Lamp, what 3 things would you wish for?”

At that young age of, I want to say between 5 and 7, the first thing I thought of was going to Disneyland. I was also fascinated with the idea of being able to drive, so I think I used up 2 of my wishes with: “I want to drive to Disneyland!” Then, as I realized that I had only 1 wish left and had to be very thoughtful of my next choice, a bolt of inspiration hit…”and I want unlimited wishes!” I looked at her as smiles grew on both of our faces.

Unlimited wishes… hmmm, what a gift that would be!

The truth is that is a gift that we already have! What we focus on becomes our reality. What is it that you truly want in your life? Is it Love? Health? Wealth? Freedom? Peace on Earth? Peace of Mind?

Who are you and what do you want? What is most important to you? Do you have a sense that you chose to be born to fulfill a certain purpose, or purposes? Are you making the difference that you would like to make in the world?

I know that the pace of life these days can seem like it’s going so fast, and it feels difficult to keep up! We wake up and get whisked away by the demands of all of the screens and then before we know it, the Sun has set, we start to wind down, and another day is done.

Did you accomplish what you meant to? Did you give yourself any of the time that you meant to? Did you take some time to evaluate where you are in your life’s journey?

If the years of COVID have taught us anything, it’s that life is precious and can end in an instant. I realize what a sobering thought that is, but I love you too much to gloss over the importance of living the life of your dreams!

The invitation of this Leo Full Moon is to identify and live your heart’s desires!

Take a few moments for yourself today for some active daydreaming. If you look up at the Full Moon tonight, you will notice a bright star below her, that very well could be *Regulus “the heart of the lion”… so go ahead and wish on that star!

(*Note: Because of the Earth’s wobble, however, the Moon appears to be at the tail end of Cancer, but the tropical zodiac is based our seasonal relationship with the Sun, not the constellations)

Let your mind expand as you ask yourself to go BIGGER and BOLDER! There is zero room here for your internal critical voice, “Who do you think you are?” “You are too old; too young; too poor; not the right gender; not the right race; not the right…________fill in the blank.”

One of the components of being human is that we all have an ego… that small (much smaller than our infinite spirit), judgmental, critical voice that is trying to keep us safe and in our comfort zone. After all, if you do create the life of your dreams, your life will likely change. You may even need to release some of the people that you currently have in your day-to-day life. You may need to release some ways of operating…some habits that no longer serve you.

As you begin to let yourself believe that it is possible to have your heart’s desires, that little small voice of our ego can get louder than the voice of your own spirit. What is your ego trying to say?

Remember, resistance is suffering

If you try to ignore the messages of your ego, you may find yourself in a state of cognitive dissonance, where you can stall out, get stuck, and likely some escapist technique of your ego will distract you from the mission of identifying your dearest desires. The phone may ring, or a notification on social media will ping… it’s time for an evening cocktail, and before you know it, the magnificence that Leo is inviting you to step into is a distant memory.

Remember the goal of identifying your heart’s desires?

There is ZERO room for this critic! If you notice these thoughts showing up, make another list of all of these thoughts. Write them down on a sheet of paper…get them all down, every last one! This is the day to release everything that is standing in the way of you living the life of your dreams!

Once you have your list, thank your ego for doing its job and find a way to safely burn the list!

Now you are free to imagine the most glorious life you can!

You are worthy of having all of your dreams come true. You are a child of God, who choose to come here to fulfill a destiny that only you can fulfill! Once you have released all of your limiting beliefs, you will have room for your deepest desires to bubble to the surface.

Have fun with this process… this is the beginning of a beautiful journey, that will transform your life in ways that you may not even imagine.
