Let’s dig into the chart to see how the energies can play out…

Solar Eclipse conjunct Chiron:

This eclipse holds profound potential for addressing deep-seated wounds and vulnerabilities, personally and collectively.  In addition to the tight conjunction in the eclipse, it’s also landing on the United States’ Chiron, highlighting the core wounds the U.S. has been grappling with since its birth.

This conjunction with Chiron invites us to confront our pain with courage and compassion, paving the way for profound healing and renewal!

Conjunct Mercury Retrograde in Aries:

With Mercury retrograde in the mix, this eclipse prompts us to revisit past wounds and communication challenges. It's a time for reflecting on how we express ourselves and communicate our needs, fostering greater clarity and understanding in our interactions.

Decile Mars in Pisces:

The decile aspect to Mars infuses this eclipse with a sense of spiritual empowerment and assertiveness. It encourages us to channel our energy and drive into constructive action, especially in areas where we may have felt blocked or stagnant.

Semi-sextile Jupiter in Taurus:

The semi-sextile to Jupiter brings opportunities for growth and expansion, particularly in matters related to abundance and stability. It encourages us to embrace new possibilities and cultivate a sense of optimism and resilience in the face of challenges.

Decile Saturn in Pisces:

The decile aspect to Saturn encourages us to take responsibility for our healing journey and commit to the necessary discipline and perseverance. It's a time for building solid foundations and enduring structures that support our growth and evolution.

Semi-sextile Uranus in Taurus:

The semi-sextile to Uranus brings unexpected insights and breakthroughs, shaking us out of complacency and inspiring innovation. It encourages us to embrace change and adapt to new circumstances with openness and flexibility.

Conjunct North Node in Aries:

Aligned with the North Node, this eclipse points us toward our future path of growth and evolution. It invites us to step into our true power and purpose, reclaiming our sovereignty and embracing new beginnings with confidence and courage.

Preparing for the Solar Eclipse:

We have a very special opportunity this weekend as we are in the Dark of the Moon!

Given that the Lunar Eclipse that we just had landed on the South Node, we are in a super potent period of release. On a recent Astrology Hub Podcast, a wonderful astrologer friend and teacher, Gemini Brett, recommended we create “compost boards.” It’s like a dream or vision board, but this has everything you are ready to purge from your life once and for all!

I invite you to take some time this weekend to list everything that you are ready to be done with!  It could be an outworn belief system (limiting beliefs are perfect for this!), habit, or way of being or operating that isn’t expressing your highest potential.

Think about your Biggest Scariest BHAGs (Big Hairy Audacious Goals!)… what do you want?  What did you come to Earth to accomplish?

Close your eyes, picture yourself at the end of this life, and ask yourself, “What kind of legacy did I leave?” “Did I play full out?” “Did I love enough?” “Is there any area where I sold out on myself and/or others?” If you don’t like the answers coming up, you have a beautiful opportunity this weekend to do something about it!

Now take some time to journal...

Given that these eclipses are in the Aries/Libra access, any ways of operating or engaging in relationships where you’ve noticed that you’ve given your power away to keep the peace or to "people please" are perfect for your list and compost board.

Be gentle and mindful with yourself, and just notice what comes up for you.  It’s not necessary to put pictures on the board, but you certainly can if you are inspired.

Once you’ve completed your board, which is ideally a sheet of paper, you are ready for your ceremony...

We’re bringing the 4 elements into this ceremony:

  • Earth – the paper/board – dig deep and make sure you have included everything you are ready to release once and for all!

  • Air – your thoughts/words – once you have completed your Compost Board, find a place to privately share what’s on the board with your highest divine guidance.  Ask for help in releasing what is no longer serving you.

  • Water – have a container of water nearby, and chances are as you are doing this sacred ceremony, your tears will also present themselves.

  • Fire – when you are ready for your release, safely burn your board/paper… keeping the water nearby “just in cases” (“Love Actually” reference 😉).  Add some of the ashes to your water and dispose of them however you choose.

Once you’ve completed your ceremony, you have created space for your BHAGs to manifest!!!

I would love to hear about your breakthroughs!

Whether you intend to travel to the 120-mile wide path of totality or stay put, please enjoy the eclipse safely with proper protective glasses that are ISO 12312-2 rated.  Welding glasses do not sufficiently filter some of the Sun’s UV rays!

New Moon Intention Setting/Vision Board Creation

Eclipses are New Moons, and you know that I like to recommend a New Moon intention-setting ceremony, but since eclipses open up such powerful portals, I recommend that you give yourself a few days to let the energies settle before you do your New Moon intention-setting ceremony &/or Dream or Vision Board creation.

There is an auspicious window of time on April 10th between 3:49 a.m. (when the Moon in Taurus will sextile Mars in Pisces) and 12:19 p.m. (when the Moon will conjunct Jupiter in Taurus) to write your Aries New Moon intentions.
