Saturn-Uranus Square ~ How Does Your Structure Want to be Changed?

Today, we have the 2nd of 3 Saturn-Uranus squares. With Saturn in fixed air sign, Aquarius, square Uranus in fixed earth sign, Taurus, these two titans have been duking it out since mid-February and will until late December.

This basically is the theme of 2021.

The first one happened on February 17th at 7°14’, this one will be at 13°7’, and the last one will happen on December 24th at 11°6’, which will make for an interesting Christmas Eve!

So what does this mean?

Saturn in Aquarius is bringing a sense of responsibility to our social structures. He represents authority that knows how to keep our society running smoothly. While Uranus in Taurus is working to implement “out-of-the-box” ideas that can revolutionize our lives with regard to our financial systems, our food production, manufacturing, and how we maintain our comfort zone.

Tangible examples of these in our world today are: cryptocurrencies, indoor/vertical farming, 3D printing, and nanotechnology.

Here’s the irony, both Saturn & Uranus are the “Lords of Aquarius” (ancient & modern rulerships, respectively). Saturn is comfortable & powerful in his own domicile, while Uranus in Taurus is here to shake things up!

The archetypal nature of Taurus is to simply enjoy all of the lovely sensual gifts that our world has to offer—Taurus is the 2nd month of spring in the northern hemisphere. The flowers are in full bloom and the birds and the bees are busily doing what birds and bees do!

Taurians by nature can be stubborn, as you visualize a bull firmly standing its ground, so this can show up as peace-loving and pretty immovable when they have found their happy place. They like to keep things the way they are…

“If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”

One of the jobs of Uranus in Taurus, however, is to point out what is broken and needs to be fixed. The transit of Uranus through Taurus on its own has served to reveal aspects of our world that could stand some improvement, while this year’s square between Saturn and Uranus is serving to catalyze the changes that need to occur.

The question is how do we respond?

Remember that knowledge is power, and awareness is key.

When we know that a challenging aspect is coming up, we can prepare for it, but be careful not to ‘brace for it!” Think about that. What does the thought of bracing for impact do to you and your body? Are you tensing, holding your breath?

Now, invite in the thought that you are always in the right place at the right time, and that you don’t need to know what it will look like, but you can hardly wait to see how the universe is conspiring to unfold in the most perfect way for you. Now that’s a conspiracy that I can smile about!

Now that you have an inkling of the energies at play, how can you use this to your advantage? What structures in your life need to be changed? How can you be proactive in your life?

I know that it’s easier to just keep going with the flow and not disrupt the status quo, but this is not a time in our world’s history for the status quo to continue uninterrupted. Change is happening on a macro as well as a micro level.

The more agency that we employ in our own lives, the more liberating these changes will be…

This can be as simple as clearing out a junk drawer, or as complex as moving cross country!

Whatever is happening in your world, please find at least 3 things to be grateful for… for that matter, I invite you to get a Gratitude Journal and start a daily practice of writing 10 things for which you are grateful.

After the challenging year that William and I had last year, it is difficult to do justice to how consistently doing this simple practice has transformed our lives! As you train your mind to focus on the things that you appreciate, you draw in like frequencies.

You will find these kinds of examples occurring in your life as well because like attracts like. Opposites may attract on the mental and physical, yin-yang level, but at the higher, heart and spiritual levels, it’s all about those finer, faster frequencies because in reality there is only oneness.

You can think of your mind as a radio dial tuning into the station to which you want to listen!

So what station are you picking up on? Uplifting, depressing, static, or…?

For those of you with planets or sensitive degrees between 11 – 15° of the fixed signs: Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius, you are undoubtedly feeling today’s Saturn-Uranus square. Be gentle with yourselves and others…we are all works in progress.
