Grounded Dreams: Setting Intentions under the Capricorn New Moon
Welcoming the Capricorn New Moon on January 11, 2024, at 3:57 a.m. PST, we find ourselves at the threshold of a powerful initiation into the New Year.
The transition from the Sagittarius lunation at the beginning of 2024 sets the stage for the Capricorn New Moon to usher in a period of profound growth and manifestation.
Key Aspects of the New Moon:
The New Moon forms dynamic connections, including a compelling link to Mercury in Sagittarius, inviting insightful communication and intellectual clarity.
A meaningful decile aspect to Venus in Sagittarius adds a touch of enchantment to relationships and creative endeavors.
The bi-septile with Jupiter in Taurus presents opportunities for spiritual insights and transformative growth.
While the trine to Uranus in Taurus sparks innovation and unexpected breakthroughs, the semi-square to Saturn in Pisces challenges us to navigate the delicate balance between dreams and reality.
The New Moon's conjunction with Pluto in Capricorn, just before Pluto's shift into Aquarius on January 20th, signifies a potent transformation, urging us to delve deep into personal and collective rebirth.
Square aspects to Chiron in Aries and the Lunar Nodes (NN in Aries & SN in Libra) highlight the need for healing and addressing karmic imbalances!
Additional Key Aspects:
Venus in Sagittarius forms a harmonious trine with Chiron in Aries, fostering healing in relationships and self-expression.
Mars in Capricorn (in his sign of exaltation) establishes a supportive trine with Jupiter in Taurus and sextile with Saturn in Pisces, empowering us with determination, discipline, and strategic action.
Timing for New Moon Intentions:
Consider the following two potent windows of time this month for your intention-setting ceremonies. Please keep in mind that all the times given are PST (Pacific Standard Time)… please adjust to your time zone:
From the New Moon at 3:57 a.m. PST on January 11th to the Moon's conjunction with Pluto at 6:33 p.m. PST on January 11th. Particularly auspicious between 5 a.m. and 11 a.m. PST when the Moon aligns harmoniously with a trine to Uranus and sextiles Neptune.
As the Moon forms its opening crescent in Pisces from Saturday, January 13th at 7:29 p.m. to its sextile with Pluto on Monday, January 15th at 8:32 p.m. Any time during this window is favorable, but there is a special window from 2:50 a.m. to 5:07 a.m. PST in the "wee hours" of Sunday morning that offers uniquely beneficial energies, with the Moon participating in the Jupiter/Saturn sextile. If that is too early for you Pacific time zone folks, there is still goodness to be had as the day progresses up until 11:40 a.m. when the Moon wraps up her sextile with Jupiter.
Capricorn Themes:
Embrace the Capricorn themes of responsibility, ambition, managerial skills, success, economic stability, and practicality during this lunar cycle. Reflect on your ability to respond, cultivate inner authority, and embody professionalism.
Quick Note on How to Write Intentions:
Always write your intentions in the present tense, as if whatever you want to manifest has already happened. It's a gratitude statement. For instance:
"I am so happy and grateful to be living the life of my dreams with my beloved partner. We feel so blessed to have found each other!"
"Thank you for the fantastic promotion I received. I feel so grateful to be living my dharma and truly feel that I am making a positive impact in the world. I am always in the right place at the right time!"
"I am so happy and grateful that our "Team Wings" is forming in such a beautiful and magical way! We're having so much fun collaborating and creating the film together!"
*** Note: Intentions should also be written in the affirmative. Remember that the subconscious mind does not understand negatives, so please refrain from statements like: "I don't want to be battling with the bank...." Find a way to turn it around to something like: "I am so grateful that the bank manager is so pleasant to work with and has resolved all of our issues!"
The most important thing is to have fun and FEEL how amazing it feels to have the state of being or the object of your desire in your life. I know that I don't need to remind you that people aren't objects. Even if you think that a particular person is your soulmate, remember that they are sovereign beings with their own divine path. If it's meant to be, it will be. Attaching ourselves to "the way it's supposed to look" is a recipe for misery.
Remember that we are going for a quality of experience. Always think in terms of this or better!

May your intentions planted in this lunar cycle sprout into the dreams you've long wished to manifest. Trust in your readiness to step into the life you envision.
With love,
Elise
