The Path to Freedom: Aquarius New Moon Musings

Amidst the enigmatic energy of the Aquarius New Moon, we find ourselves at a crossroads of self-discovery and liberation.

For those of us who resonate with the Aquarian essence, this celestial alignment heralds a time of profound introspection and potential transformation!

The Aquarius New Moon occurs at 2:59 p.m. PST, on Friday, February 9th, at 20° Aquarius. With both the Sun and Moon squaring Uranus in Taurus and sextiling the North Node in Aries, this lunation radiates with dynamic energy and revolutionary potential.

Additionally, its sextile with Chiron, soon to join the North Node in Aries, accentuates opportunities for profound healing and alignment with our soul's journey.

The Moon in Aquarius blesses us with a unique perspective on emotions and relationships. We may find ourselves curiously detached from the ebb and flow of feelings, capable of turning our emotional switch on and off at will.

While this gift of detachment can offer clarity and objectivity, we must tread carefully not to become too impersonal.

Our bonds with chosen family and friends may hold a deeper significance, surpassing traditional notions of blood ties.

You may feel drawn to more open, experimental atmospheres, eschewing convention and embracing the freedom to forge your own path.

Meanwhile, with the Sun illuminating Aquarius, individuality and autonomy will shine brightly through those freedom-loving souls, unyielding in their pursuit of personal sovereignty!

The Aquarian energy does not resonate with ownership and possessiveness. It fosters independence, fairness, and equality, but its fixed nature can tend to encourage inflexibility.

Aquarius extends beyond personal realms into the collective consciousness. It nudges us towards community endeavors, social causes, and progressive ideals.

It stimulates an expansive vision for the future, which includes a commitment to social betterment and human welfare at a time when both Mercury and Pluto are also in Aquarius!

Mercury rules all things electrical, including our devices and our nervous system...our thoughts, communications, and movements...and he will be in Aquarius for a couple more weeks...

...and you can read about Pluto in Aquarius in my last blog...

Amidst lofty aspirations, we must acknowledge any current shortcomings, dogmatism, and detachment that may obscure the nuances of human emotion and need. It is in the delicate balance between idealism and empathy, where true growth lies.

Timing for New Moon Intentions:

Consider the following two potent windows of time this month for your intention-setting ceremonies.  Please keep in mind that all the times given are PST (Pacific Standard Time)… please adjust to your time zone:

The moment the Moon joins with the Sun she will go Void of Course, so I don’t recommend doing your intentions until the Moon moves into Pisces on February 10th at 5:42 a.m.  That said, there is a juicy window of time once the Moon passes Saturn and they both are sextile Jupiter from 5:51 p.m. until 7:04 p.m. on February 10th.

If that window is too narrow, there is plenty of time from then up until the Moon sextiles Mars at 4:31 a.m. on February 12th.

Aquarian Themes:

Independent, progressive, inventive, scientific, humanitarian, individualistic; rebellious, eccentric

Quick Note on How to Write Intentions:

Always write your intentions in the present tense, as if whatever you want to manifest has already happened.  It's a gratitude statement.  For instance:

  • "I am so happy and grateful to be living the life of my dreams with my beloved partner.  We feel so blessed to have found each other!"

  • "Thank you for the fantastic promotion I received.  I feel so grateful to be living my dharma and truly feel that I am making a positive impact in the world.  I love knowing that I am always in the right place at the right time!"

  • "I am so happy and grateful that our "Team Wings" is gathering in such a beautiful and magical way!  We're having so much fun collaborating and creating the film together!"

*** Note:  Intentions should also be written in the affirmative.  Remember that the subconscious mind does not understand negatives, so please refrain from statements like:  "I don't want to be battling with the bank...."  Find a way to turn it around to something like:  "I am so grateful that the bank manager is so pleasant to work with and has resolved all of our issues!"

The most important thing is to have fun and FEEL how amazing it feels to have the state of being or the object of your desire in your life.  I know that I don't need to remind you that people aren't objects.  Even if you think that a particular person is your soulmate, remember that they are sovereign beings with their own divine path.  If it's meant to be, it will be.  Attaching ourselves to "the way it's supposed to look" is a recipe for misery.

Remember that we are going for a quality of experience.  Always think in terms of this or better!

So, as we harness the energy of the Aquarius New Moon, let us embark on a journey of self-discovery and soulful exploration. Let us honor our individuality while cultivating compassion for ourselves and others…

…and let us remember that in the vast tapestry of the cosmos, each of us plays a unique and irreplaceable role!

If you find resonance with these words, I invite you to embark on a complimentary 30-minute S.P.A. for the SOUL™ discovery call with me. Together, we'll discuss your astrological blueprint, which can uncover much deeper hidden truths and guide you toward a path of fulfillment and authenticity.

With love and light,

Elise
